Bought

Lichgates by S. M. Boyce—YA Fantasy
The Sphnix Project by Kate Hawkings—YA Paranormal
After the Rising by Orna Ross—Literary Fiction

Mailbox Reads
IMAG0327
The Bridesmaid by Beverly Lewis—Religious Fiction (Amish)
The Thief of Auschwitz by Jon Clinch—Historical Fiction

Both of these books were sent to me by Portland Book Review. I was hoping to get both of these books because I love a good historical fiction and I’m on an Amish fiction kick right now. When my reviews go live on that site I’ll let you all know. :)

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak—Historical Fiction

Over on Goodreads the 2012 & 2013 Reading Challenge group hosted a Secret Santa and my gift came in this week! I’ve heard such good things about The Book Thief that when I saw it on my Secret Santa’s list I picked it up for them and debated getting a copy for myself. I’m glad I didn’t since I was surprised with my own copy. ^_^

Someone Else’s Fairytale by E. M. Tippetts—Contemporary Romance
Nobody’s Damsel by E. M. Tippetts—Contemporary Romance

E. M. Tippetts posted a blog post a few weeks ago about ARCs of Nobody’s Damsel, which is being published in January. The story line seemed really interesting so I jumped at the chance to read it. She was gracious enough to send me a copy of the first book in the series, Someone Else’s Fairytale, as well so stay tuned for my reviews!

Book Bloggers Holiday Card Exchange

IMAG0325
I signed up to be a part of the book blogger card swap that Judith @ Leeswammes and Courtney @ Stiletto Storytime hosted this year and I got two more cards in the mail this week! This time I got a couple of sparkly snowman cards which I hadn’t even realized until I put them together for the picture. :) The card on the right is from Courtney @ Stiletto Storytime and the card on the right (with a lovely Christmas tea that I can’t wait to try out) came from Alita @ Alita Reads. Thank you both for my wonderful cards!

What books and gifts did you get this week? What are you excited about reading the most?
